Jack earned his Master's in Real Estate Appraisal from the University of Saint Thomas in 2001, his BBA-Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1980, and his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 1988. Jack and his wife Betsy have two sons, three daughters, and seven grandchildren. They live in a rural resort community northwest of Pottsboro, Texas where Betsy works at American Bank and Jack has served the community as Captain and President of the 23 man volunteer fire department, founding President of the Grayson County Association of Fire Chiefs, and Member of the Grayson County Executive Emergency Planning Committee. Jack currently commits his volunteer time to the Appraisal Institute and serves on the National Appraisal Standards Committee, as a Regional Representative, and grades demonstration appraisal reports.
